Prof. Laura Pacifici, MD

Physician, Born in Milan, Italy.

Specialized in Anaesthesia and Resuscitation, and in “Public Health, Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Community Health, she works, since 2000, at the headquarter – Italian Red Cross Health Activities Service, as ItRC international Health Activities Coordinator in cooperation with Italian Organizzations, Red Cross National Associations and others important stakeholders.

In 2005, she becomes the Head of the Office for International Health Cooperation and Development of the Italian Red Cross, leading a staff of experts in Infectious Diseases, International law and Human Rights, Economics, International Politics and Psychological support.

She also is the author of books and articles on International health Cooperation.

From 2008 to 2010, she is the Health Director of Asylum Seekers Camp (CARA) – Castelnuovo di Porto , Rome.

From November 2010 to 2011, she is based in Delhi as a “ South Asia Health and Care Coordinator” for the International Federation of the Red Cross – Red Crescent.
