Excellences of the MultiMedica Group

The Cardiovascular Department is one of the areas of excellence of the Group MultiMedica because, since 2006, the Hospital of Sesto San Giovanni has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health as Institute of Hospitalization and Health Care (IRCCS) in the discipline of “Cardiovascular Diseases” also including the activities of basic research carried out in the scientific and technologic (PST).

The strong synergy between the clinical activity and clinical research allows the IRCCS Sesto San Giovanni Hospital to be very active in the field of translational research, in particular in the field of Heart Failure and Diabetes.

The Department of Gynecology and Pediatrics of San Giuseppe Hospital was completely renovated not only in technological equipment, but also the comfort and beauty of the environment, the rooms and suites. It has delivery rooms and operating rooms, as well as wards of gynecology, obstetrics and neonatology

MultiMedica’s Oncology Department can count on three different approaches surgery, medical oncology, radiotherapy and brachytherapy so, those who turn to our doctors can count on a real multidisciplinary and highly specialized approach but yet never losing sight of the importance of the human relationship with the patient and his
family.

In 2009 this Department has been further enhanced with the introduction of technology IORT (intraoperative radiotherapy for the irradiation of the part directly during surgery) and in spring 2011 the IRCCS Sesto San Giovanni completed its work for the realization of a new pavilion dedicated exclusively to radiotherapy (with two additional linear accelerators and a CT simulator) and the extension of the Nuclear Medicine service that currently offers not only the most modern equipment to investigate the morphological and functional aspect of an organ or an apparatus, and also of 2 PET-CT whose accuracy of survey finds wide use in diagnostic cardiology neurological and especially oncologic.
